Alex Cornish is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter based in Dunbar.

He has had singles spending weeks on end on the Radio 2 playlist, sessions for Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio 1, BBC Radio Scotland, The Sunday Times’ “hottest download of the week”. The Scotland on Sunday said ”passion, guile and a voice to stand up to Thom Yorke”. The Sunday Times said “a beautiful album that has Mercury Prize shortlist written all over it”.

Alex's songs have featured on hit TV Shows “The Big C”, “Private Practice” and others. He has toured all over supporting amongst others Alison Moyet, Amy MacDonald, Tom McRae and Morcheeba.

His 8th studio album is released in 2024.

Martha Cornish is Alex’s daughter and an accomplished performer and songwriter in her own right. Following a cameo at Alex’s last Dunbar gig in 2022, Martha has performed solo sets at the last two Dunbar Music Festivals as well as supporting a range of artists visiting the area.

Martha regularly releases her tunes on Instagram and TikTok.
